Monday Jan 13, 2020
If you or someone you know is in significant emotional crisis and/or are thinking of self harm, please immediately call Colorado Crisis Services at (844) 493-8255 or text the word Talk to them at 38255. Whatever you're going through, you don't have to go through it alone.
In today's podcast, Sheriff Mikesell, Commander Couch, and Deputy Bunting are joined by Captain James "Tiny" McLaughlin. Tiny is the Captain of the Ute Pass Regional Health Services District's Community Paramedicine program. To our podcast, Tiny brings his deep passion and caring for helping those with mental health problems. He discusses the roles and coordination of the county's first responders in helping clients towards finding mental health assistance and care, options clients and parents can use to find that assistance and care, and the emotional and societal impact suicide has on family, friends, first responders, and the community.
